Class DescriptionsEach class is designed to either Restore or Invigorate you through a sequence of opening and strengthening movements, with breath as a focus.

Combines movement, yoga, sculpting, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques into a unique and fun prenatal fitness class. We will focus on strengthening your pelvic floor muscles, toning your arms, back and legs, easing the normal aches and pains of pregnancy, loosening the muscles and opening up the pelvic area, learning how to breathe and relax in preparation for labor, and building stamina for the marrathon of giving birth. The instructor will work closely with you to modify the exercises for your body and stage in pregnancy. You will gain the tools for an easier pregnancy, labor and delivery, and you will leave feeling rejuvenated, relaxed, strengthened and stretched.
**Please bring a mat for this class. Mat rentals are $2. You may leave your mat at the studio within a mat bag for future use.

MommyShape Postnatal Ab Repair
You've just had a baby and now it's time to do lots and lots of crunches, right? NO!!
Many women who try reconditioning their postnatal abs using traditional methods often find it difficult to flatten their core. MommyShape Postnatal Ab Repair will teach you the correct way to flatten and re-tone your abdominal wall after pregnancy by training ALL four layers (Rectus abdominis, External oblique, Internal oblique, and Transverse abdominis) to function synergistically.
The MommyShape Postnatal Method utilizes a combination of core exercises deeply rooted in modern dance (especially the Graham Technique), yoga, and pilates to focuses on building strength and control in the deepest abdominal muscle, the transverse abdominis, before building strength in the other three layers. In doing this, you will learn how to strengthen and re-tone your abs from the inside out, not only building strength in the external abdominal muscles (as in crunches), but really re-shaping the muscles from within (the key to a flat stomach).
In addition, the teacher will assess if you have diastasis recti and teach you how to modify your workout to decrease this abdominal separation. Although the class is geared for the postnatal woman, ANYONE is welcome to join, whether you've had a baby or not, or it's been years since!
